Harney hopes MRSA case will not spark flood of actions

Health Minister Mary Harney has said she hopes a legal case being taken by a woman who contracted MRSA will not lead to a flood of similar actions.

A 68-year-old Kilkenny woman has become the first person to lodge papers against the State claiming she was infected with the so-called "super bug" at her local hospital.
