Teenager faces court over Dublin death
A 17-year-old boy is due to appear at the Children’s Court today charged in connection with the death of a man whose body was found near the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in west Dublin.
The boy was arrested yesterday and was detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
A Garda spokeswoman said the boy would appear in the Children’s Court in Dublin at 10.30am today.
Gardaí discovered the body of the man at around 4pm last Sunday beside bushes at the back of an outbuilding at the back of the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, following a call by a member of the public.
A passer-by spotted the body only yards from a slip road which joins the M50 motorway to the N4.
The body, which gardaí said is that of a man in his 20s, is believed to have lain undetected in the area for some time.
