Sligo body: Man died of natural causes

A man, whose body was found in Sligo town centre, died from natural causes, gardaí confirmed tonight.

A post mortem was carried out on the body of the man which was discovered at Rockwood Parade near the Garavogue River in the town at around 6am this morning.

The office of the State Pathologist was notified of the death.

However, a garda spokesman said: “The post mortem revealed the man died of natural causes.”

Gardaí said the man had not been named.
