Intel subsidiary to create 80 new jobs in Shannon

US multinational Intel is planning to create 80 jobs in Shannon, Co Clare, in the coming years.

The jobs, which were announced today by Minister for Enterprise Micheál Martin, will be based at the Intel Communications Europe facility in the free-trade zone attached to Shannon Airport.

ICE employs 120 people at the facility, which has been based at the Shannon Free Zone since 1999.
