Alcohol retailers urged to be vigilant this week

A body representing alcohol retailers in Ireland has warned its members to be on the lookout for young people seeking to purchase drink in the coming days.

The warning was issued by the Drinks Industry Group of Ireland on the eve of the release of this year's Junior Cert results.

DIGI has also called on adults not to buy alcohol for people under the legal drinking age.
