Poverty demonstration draws to a close

An overnight demonstration outside Government buildings has ended this morning.

The twelve hour sit-out on Dublin's Merrion Street was organised by the Irish branch of the Make Poverty History campaign.

The group is urging the Government to deliver on its promise on overseas aid.

A counter clocked up the number of children who died in the developing world over the 12 hour period.

Organisers say the night went very well.
