Man dies in Galway road accident

A 60-year-old man has been killed in a road accident in Co Galway.

The accident happened on the N59 on the Galway-Clifden road some time between 11pm yesterday and 9am today.

Gardaí discovered a four-wheel drive, which had overturned near a sharp bend at Ballinafad, Co Galway, and ended up in the river.

The body of the man, who is believed to be local, was found in the vehicle.
