The Dáil Justice Committee has been hearing details of the Government's proposals to introduce anti-social behaviour orders.

The Dáil Justice Committee has been hearing details of the Government's proposals to introduce anti-social behaviour orders.

They were given assurances that the orders will be very different to those currently in place in the UK.

The orders will compel offenders to keep the peace for two years while any breach could result in a prison term of up to six months.
