Gardaí have told an inquest in Co Dublin that they are close to completing their renewed investigation into the death of a baby girl whose body was found in Dun Laoghaire 32 years ago.

The investigation was launched after a woman came forward claiming to be the mother of the girl found dumped in a lane in the town in 1973.
