Govt to make effort to reduce Taoiseach’s Dáil duties

The Government is expected to table proposals today that opposition parties say would undermine their capacity to question the Taoiseach on important issues.

The proposals, first announced earlier this year, would see Bertie Ahern getting prior notice of any queries to be raised during leader's questions in the Dáil.
