EU court to hear challenge to Irish abortion ban

An Irish woman who travelled to Britain for an abortion is taking a case against the Irish Government today before the European Court of Justice in Strasbourg.

The 44-year-old woman is claiming that the fact she could not get an abortion in Ireland was a breach of her human rights.
