Lawyers for a 50-year-old Irish man who is challenging his extradition to the UK in connection with a false passport scam are arguing that his constitutional rights have been breached.

Counsel have been arguing that the warrant used to arrest and detain the man is not valid and are calling for him to be discharged.

The man, with an address in Blackrock, Dublin is alleged to have used birth certificates belonging to dead babies in a false passport scam in 1998 and 1999.
