Boats detained in illegal fishing probe

Three Irish fishing vessels were detained today on suspicion of fishing for mussel seed without a valid licence.

The alleged offences took place four miles outside Wexford Harbour, in the area of Lucifer and Long Banks.

The vessels were escorted to Rosslare, where they were handed over to gardaí.
