Report highlights rise in numbers with drug problems

The numbers of people being treated for drug abuse in Ireland increased significantly between 1998 and 2002, according to the Government's Health Research Board.

In a report published today, the board said the numbers receiving treatment for drug problems increased by around 27% over the four-year period.
