Two men killed in separate overnight road accidents

Two men have died in separate overnight road accidents in Co Monaghan and Co Kilkenny.

A man in his 40s died when the lorry he was driving hit a tree at Derrykinard in Ballybay, Co Monaghan, just after 3am.

Elsewhere, a motorcyclist in his 20s died after losing control of his vehicle at Slieverue in Co Kilkenny just before 4am.

Gardai are withholding the names of both men until all next of kin are informed.
