Fine Gael has called on the Government to liberalise the bus sector after a new survey has found that more than two thirds of car commuters would use a bus if they had access to a regular service.

For most people, it now takes 20 minutes to walk to their nearest bus stop and it takes twice as long to get to work by bus as it does by car.
