Govt to spend €12m on school bus issue

The Government is to spend more than €12m over the coming month to help eliminate the three-into-two seating arrangements on school buses.

The Department of Education is to buy 50 second hand buses at a cost of €7.5m and has also invited companies to tender for a contract for 20 new purpose-built buses.
