Huge surge in second-hand car ownership

First licensing of second-hand private cars has increased by 1,602 (88.4%) on the same month last year, according to figures from the Central Statistics Office.

There were 14,149 new private cars licensed in July, 2005, compared with 14,141 in July, 2004, an increase of 0.05%.
