A US-based pharmaceutical firm has announced the closure of its plant in Donegal, with the loss of 560 jobs.

The Hospira company is moving its operations to Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic and has confirmed that all of its Donegal workers will be made redundant when the plant closes in about 18 months time.
