Wind turbine on way for Dundalk
It is expected that a new wind turbine being erected in Dundalk will supply power to the town's Institute of Technology.
This is the first venture of its kind, and is costing over €1m.
"Projects like this make sense for industry so we'll see a lot more projects like this around the country," says Larry Staudt, head of renewable energy at Dundalk IT.
"Wind is the least expensive generator of energy and it's only going to get cheaper," he says.
