M3 protestors bring campaign to M50

Campaigners against the tolling of the new M3 Motorway protested on the M50 this afternoon.

‘Tarawatch’ claim there will be double-tolling of the new roadway, which they want to be re-routed away from the hill of Tara.

Earlier today they released details of an alternative route between Navan and Dunshaughlin, which they feel would be better both in environmental and economic terms.

Spokesperson Vincent Salafia said many people did not realise that the new motorway would be tolled by a government-chosen group. He claimed the group could be liable if the Hill of Tara were illegally damaged.
