Gardaí have named the first of the four people killed on the roads this weekend as 54-year-old Maura Daffey from Lismugh.

Gardaí have named the first of the four people killed on the roads this weekend as 54-year-old Maura Daffey from Lismugh.

Ms Duffey died in hospital after her car collided with a mini-bus near Ennis in County Clare.

Elsewhere, an 18-year-old girl died in a two-car collision in Ballybrack in South County Dublin early this morning.

And two men died in Ballaghadereen in County Roscommon last night in a crash involving a car and a van.
