Gardaí probe Kildare death

A Garda inquiry has been launched after a man died following a row with a group of youths in Leixlip in Co Kildare early this morning.

Gardaí are looking for witnesses to the incident, which happened on the Celbridge Road in Leixlip shortly after midnight.

The man, who was in his 50s and from the local area, died later in hospital.

A post-mortem is to be carried out by the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis.
