Report highlights fire risks at Hume hospital

Dublin’s Hume Street hospital may be in danger of closure because of risks highlighted in a recent fire and safety report.

The report claimed the building would be unsafe in the event of a blaze.

The skin and cancer hospital treats 20,000 patients every year.

Fianna Fáil Councillor Gary Keegan has called on the Tánaiste and Minister for Health Mary Harney to keep the hospital open.
