Belfast: Man held in relation to rape of English teenager

Police in the North have arrested a man in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old English girl in north Belfast last weekend.

The man turned himself in to police today following a search of a house in the Twinbrook area of the city.

He is being questioned about an attack last Saturday during which the teenage girl was raped twice by one of two men who robbed her and her friends in the Blacks Road area.

The rapist then telephoned the girl's mother on her mobile phone and told her what he had done.
