The body of the Irish aid worker who died in a road accident in Ethiopia at the weekend is reportedly due to be flown home this week.

Twenty-five-year-old Joyce Campbell, from Dungloe in Co Donegal, died on Sunday only two weeks after starting work in the African nation.

Two men from Kildare and Dublin were also injured in the crash and are recovering in hospital in neighbouring Kenya.

Reports this morning said Ms Campbell's remains would be flown from Addis Ababa to London today before being transferred to Belfast and then back to her home town.

It could reportedly be tomorrow or Friday before the body completes its journey.
