Gardaí name weekend accident victim

The victim of Friday's fatal road accident in Co Westmeath has been named.

The victim of Friday's fatal road accident in Co Westmeath has been named.

He was Christopher Drysdale of New Row South, Christchurch, in Dublin 8.

Mr Drysdale, who celebrated his 21st birthday last week, died when his motorcycle collided with a lorry in Tyrellspass on Friday afternoon.

The Dubliner is the only person to die on Irish roads so far this weekend and it brings to 38 the number of road deaths in July.
