Welfare group questions swift Leas Cross move

A lobby group for the Elderly has expressed concern about the speed with which residents of the Leas Cross nursing home have been moved elsewhere.

The residents are being moved from the home after a documentary earlier this year showed poorly trained staff mistreating several patients.

The Action on Elder Abuse organisation said today that many of these people could have been put at risk of developing serious health problems or even dying as a result.
