An Irish tourist has been charged with the murder of a Nigerian woman on Gran Canaria, it emerged today.

An Irish tourist has been charged with the murder of a Nigerian woman on Gran Canaria, it emerged today.

Vincent Traynor, aged 19, is accused of killing 23-year-old Stella Or on the popular Spanish holiday island.

Police discovered her body on the Cochino beach, near the town of San Bartolome de Tirajana on July 11.

Traynor, who is believed to be from Rasharkin, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland, was arrested last week.
