Glennon urged to clarify Aer Lingus position
Former Labour Party vice-chairman Henry Haughton this afternoon called on Fianna Fáil's Dublin North TD Jim Glennon to state whether he is in favour of Aer Lingus privatisation.
Yesterday, the TD described a management memo at the state airline aimed at encouraging staff to leave as cynical and sinister.
Mr Haughton said Deputy Glennon was engaging in double standards. "The real fear of workers in Aer Lingus and in other companies at the airport is that the government is going to privatise them, putting those jobs at risk," said Mr Haughton.
"He has to come clean where he stands on the privatisation issue."
