Former RTÉ chief appointed chair of North’s equality body

Former RTÉ director general Bob Collins has been appointed as the new chair of the North's Equality Commission.

Mr Collins will take over the position when the current chair, Joan Harbison, completes her term of office at the end of this month.

He had been RTÉ director general from 1997 until 2003.
