Shooting victim dies in Belfast
A 19-year-old man has died and another is critically injured following two separate overnight shootings in north Belfast.
The dead man was shot by three people who broke into his house in Dhu Varren Crescent, in the mainly loyalist Woodvale area, shortly after 1.30am.
The other man, who was in his 20s, was shot a number of times in the upper body on the Crumlin Road near Glenbank just before midnight.
It is unclear whether the shootings are connected, but the PSNI is appealing for calm and has urged community leaders to do what they can to ease tensions.
