President Mary McAleese and an Taoiseach Bertie Ahern are to celebrate the National Day of Commemoration today, marking the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

President Mary McAleese and an Taoiseach Bertie Ahern are to celebrate the National Day of Commemoration today, marking the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

A ceremony will take place this morning at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham, Dublin.

President McAleese will also remember all Irish soldiers who have died in conflict.
