HSE issues statement to reassure nursing home residents

The Health Service Executive issued a statement this evening in a bid to reassure residents at Leas Cross Nursing Home, which is due to close.

The statement says the process of sourcing alternative nursing home accommodation is well advanced.

This follows comments earlier today by the owner of Leas Cross blaming the Health Service Executive, and claiming it had failed to offer assistance or address the concerns raised.

A number of the residents have now moved from the home. There were 90, 58 remain.
