Two police in Belfast injured during disturbance
Two police officers in the North were injured during a disturbance outside a bar in Belfast in the early hours of this morning.
One of the officers was kept in hospital over night but the details of their injuries were not specified.
The officers were attacked by a group of up to 20 people when they were trying to defuse an “alcohol-related incident”, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
The incident happened at around 1.30am in the Crossgar area of the city.
Two men, aged 18 and 20, were arrested in connection with the incident.
