Pensioner killed in Carlow accident

An 82-year-old man has died in a single-car accident in Co Carlow.

The man's car struck a horse at Bagenalstown at a 10.45 pm last night.

The man was pronounced dead on arrival at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny.
