Taoiseach predicts development at derelict sites

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has predicted the Affordable Homes Partnership he announced earlier this month will lead to the development of many derelict sites in Dublin.

The body is being established to help boost the construction of homes under affordable housing schemes.

Speaking in the Dáil today, Mr Ahern said he believed the agency would help "get rid of a lot of nuisance sites that tend to be around".
