New report urged into leaking Aquatic Centre
The Labour Party has called on the Taoiseach and the Minister for Sport to publish an independent engineering report into the National Aquatic Centre in west Dublin.
The call follows the news that millions of litres of water are leaking from the controversial €62m facility through cracks in the floor.
The engineering report was commissioned by the Office of Public Works earlier this year when part of the roof of the centre was blown off during a storm.
Asked about the matter today, Labour TD Joan Burton said: "Taxpayers need to be reassured about the long-term sustainability and viability of the Centre."
