Gardaí appeal for witnesses to accident at Abbeyleix

Gardaí in Co Laois are seeking witnesses to a collision which occurred this morning.

The incident involved two vehicles and took place at about 8am just north of Abbeyleix on the Portlaoise road.

Three people were injured and taken to Portlaoise Hospital.

Gardaí are particularly interested in talking to the driver of a lorry travelling south at the time, who may have seen the crash.
