Revenue catches County Council for under-declaring VAT

New figures show the Revenue Commissioners received almost €22m from settlements arising from its inquiries into bogus non-resident and other off shore accounts in the first quarter of the year.

They included South Dublin County Council and a Roscommon doctor, who paid almost €1.5m.
