Man held after NI double stabbing

A man is under arrest today after two teenagers were stabbed in Northern Ireland.

The man, in his early 30s, was detained late last night after the incident at a flat in the seaside town of Bangor, Co Down.

A girl in her mid-teens suffered a serious stab wound to the thigh at the address in the town's Dufferin Avenue, said police.

At the same time, a youth in his late teens was wounded in both arms and the body.

Police appealed for anyone who witnessed the stabbing or saw anything suspicious in the area to contact them.
