Mother and children escape arson attack

A mother and her two young girls escaped unharmed during an early-morning arson attack on their home.

Two wooden doors were placed on top of a bin at the rear of their house in Synge Court, Derry, at around 2.40am today and set alight. The flames caused minor scorch damage to the exterior.
