IFSRA urges consumers to shop around for credit cards
The financial services regulator IFSRA has advised consumers that they can make significant savings by shopping around for credit cards.
IFSRA said a study it conducted found that interest rates on credit cards can vary by up to four percentage points.
It also found that some providers charge no fees for late payments or for exceeding credit limits, while others charge up to €15.
IFSRA said consumers should also take account of introductory offers and the increased fees that apply when these offers expire.
