Speaking phone will ease use for blind
A new speaking phone will allow blind people to access text messages on their mobile phones for the first time.
The full range of features is now available through screen-reading software.
Des Kenny chief executive of the National Council for the Blind said: "With the traditional phone I could only make calls and receive calls and access the message minder but the new phone one can manage their diary and email at a distance."
