Poll finds older people are happier about idea of ageing

Irish people get happier as they spend more time in old age, according to a group that champions independent living for the elderly.

Rukba Ireland, which has now renamed itself Independent Age, said an opinion poll it commissioned found that just 24% of respondents in their 50s agreed that growing old was better than they imagined.
