Forty-three community groups have benefited to the tune of €80,000 over the past two years under a mobile phone recycling scheme set up by Vodafone Ireland.

Forty-three community groups have benefited to the tune of €80,000 over the past two years under a mobile phone recycling scheme set up by Vodafone Ireland.

The telecommunications company said today that around 12 tonnes of mobile phones had been recycled under the scheme, run in conjunction with the Conservation Volunteers Ireland organisation.
