Navan ranked as Ireland’s worst litter blackspot
Navan in Co Meath is Ireland's worst litter blackspot, according to the latest survey by the Irish Business Against Litter organisation.
The organisation said around one quarter of the 57 towns and suburbs surveyed had serious litter problems, with industrial estates found to be particularly problematic.
Carlow was identified as the cleanest town, one of only 12 to be given litter-free status.
Bray in Co Wicklow, which had previously been ranked as the worst litter blackspot, has now moved into the litter-free category.
