A new €1m coast guard station house in Rosslare opens today.

A new €1m coast guard station house in Rosslare opens today.

It contains new facilities for 14 volunteers who operate the coastguard service for one of Ireland's busiest sea-faring areas.

Junior Marine Minister, Pat "the Cope" Gallagher said: “The one thing it will not change is the dedication and the commitment of these people that give of their time freely 365 days a year, but what it will provide them with better facilities during emergencies”, he said.
