Two killed in Bank Holiday crashes
An elderly man died last night following a three-vehicle collision in Co Clare last night.
Two cars and a truck were involved in the accident which happened at Birdhill, Ballyhane, at 6.20pm.
The elderly man was the driver of one of the cars. His body was removed to Limerick Regional Hospital.
There were no other injuries.
Earlier yesterday, a male pedestrian in his 60s was killed when he was struck by a lorry in Co Tipperary.
The accident happened at 2.30pm on the Roscrea Road near Templemore.
The victim's body was removed to Nenagh General Hospital.
