Dubliner charged with firearms offences linked to cash-in-transit raids
A Dublin man has appeared in court charged with firearms offences related to a number of recent cash-in-transit robberies.
The man was arrested in connection with a large scale garda investigation into the theft of more than €2m and the kidnap of a family in Raheny.
The man, who is in his 40s, was picked up along with 24 others in a garda crackdown this week.
This morning the accused was transferred from Whitehall garda station to the Dublin District Court where he faced two charges of unlawfully possessing firearms.
